The "ERR_QUIC_PROTOCOL_ERROR" indicates that there is a problem with the QUIC protocol, which is a transport layer network protocol designed by Google to make web connections faster. This error typically occurs when Chrome encounters issues retrieving data from a web server that utilizes QUIC.
How to Fix It
- Disable QUIC Protocol in Chrome:
- Open Google Chrome and type
chrome://flags/ in the address bar and press Enter.
- In the search box, type "QUIC" to find the relevant settings.
- Locate "Experimental QUIC protocol" and set it to Disabled.
- Click the Relaunch button at the bottom to apply the changes.
- Clear Browsing Data:
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner to open the menu.
- Navigate to More tools > Clear browsing data....
- Select the time range and check Cached images and files as well as Cookies and other site data.
- Click Clear data.
- Update Google Chrome:
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner again.
- Go to Help > About Google Chrome.
- Allow Chrome to check for updates and install them if available.
- Restart Your Router:
- Unplug your router and wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug the router back in and wait for it to fully restart.
- Reconnect to the network and try accessing the website again.
